En medio de la disputa por el Trofeo de Campeones de la ICC entre India y Pakistán, la ICC y sus miembros se reunirán el viernes para decidir el destino del torneo.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) will meet on Friday to discuss the schedule of Champions Trophy 2025 amid the standoff between India and Pakistan. The fixtures for the tournament is yet to be announced amid uncertainity over where the event will be held. India had communicated to ICC earlier their refusal to travel to Pakistan for CT 2025 in February.
Champions Trophy: ICC to meet on Friday
As per ESPN CricInfo, ICC will deliberate on three options to ensure that Champions Trophy goes on smooth. The first option is a hybrid model, which Pakistan has been vehemently oppposing. The second option is to move the entire tournament to another country but allow PCB to retain the hosting rights. The third and the most unlikely option is that the entire event will be held in Pakistan without India’s participation.

India last traveled to Pakistan for Asia Cup in 2008 following which geopolitical tension between the two countries forced the former to boycott cricket in latter. The two sides have only met at ICC events since then. ICC is likely to ask all its members to vote for a solution in the upcoming meeting to decide on the venue for Champions Trophy 2025.
Dragging India to court for refusing to travel to Pakistan for Champions Trophy 2025 was one of the threats issued by Pakistan. The other threats include withdrawing from the tournament if a hybrid model is adopted, boycotting future ICC events where India will be participating in and writing a letter to the ICC seeking clarity on why India refused to travel to Pakistan.
