The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction could witness a new record for the most expensive player. Shreyas Iyer has already surpassed the ₹24.75 crore mark, previously set by Mitchell Starc, who was bought by KKR in IPL 2024 for the same amount.
Iyer has been bought by Punjab Kings as their second player with highest bid in IPL history with 26.75 crore on November 24 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The player has broken all record as he surpassed Starc to become most expensive player.
