IT IS THE WEEK OF INTERSTATE ENFORCEMENT WHERE LAW ENFORCEMENT ZEROES IN ON I-85 AND 26 LOOKING FOR DRUGS STOLEN ITEMS AND TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS. EARLIER TODAY, SHERIFF CHUCK WRIGHT TALKED ABOUT WHAT AUTHORITIES CONFISCATED. THE SHERIFF SAYS BECAUSE OF THEIR EFFORTS, THEY WERE ABLE TO MAKE THE COMMUNITY SAFER. I THINK THE IMPORTANT THING IS THAT WHAT WE GOT OFF THE STREET, ABOUT 90% OF IT, WAS COMING TO SPARTANBURG COUNTY, NOT JUST PASSING THROUGH. SHERIFF WRIGHT SAYS THEY SEIZED OVER 300 POUNDS OF MARIJUANA, 31 POUNDS OF THC WAX AND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN CASH. LET’S TURN TO SPORTS NOW AND WEEK TWO OF THE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS. OUR CHASE JUSTICE IS LIVE IN GREENWOOD WITH MORE AHEAD OF THE BIG GAME. CHASE DANA GRIFFIN. HEY, NIGEL AND CAROL, IT IS DO OR DIE HERE AT THE J.W. BABB STADIUM, WHERE THE GREENWOOD EAGLES ARE SET TO HOST THEIR FIRST HOME PLAYOFF GAME IN TWO SEASONS. WELCOMING IN A FAMILIAR OPPONENT THE HILLCREST RAMS, THE SAME TEAM WHO THEY BEAT ON THE ROAD IN SIMPSONVILLE JUST THREE WEEKS AGO. BUT ON THE RAMS SIDE, THIS TEAM HAS CHANGED SOME THINGS UP SINCE THAT LAST LOSS TO GREENWOOD, MOVING QUARTERBACK CALEB SUTTON OUT WIDE TO WIDE RECEIVER, JOINING FELLOW WIDEOUT WESTON WILLIS, WHO’S JUST THREE YARDS SHY OF HILLCREST SINGLE SEASON RECEIVING YARDS RECORD. WHILE GREENWOOD HASN’T LOST IN THE PAST MONTH, THREE STRAIGHT WINS, INCLUDING GETTING ONE OVER HILLCREST 38 TO 16 TO KICK OFF THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER. WE’LL GO DOWN, BUT WE PLAYED REALLY WELL THAT NIGHT. BUT YOU KNOW, HILLCREST ALSO HELPED US OUT A LOT. YOU KNOW, THEY TURNED THE BALL OVER FOUR TIMES AND GAVE US A LOT OF SHORT FIELDS. AND, YOU KNOW, WE WERE ABLE TO PRESSURE THEIR QUARTERBACK AND DO SOME THOSE TYPE THINGS AND AND BUT AGAIN THEY’VE GOT SOME EXTRAORDINARILY TALENTED PLAYERS AND, AND IT IS HARD TO BEAT A TEAM TWICE IN THE SAME SEASON, ESPECIALLY ON THIS THIS KIND OF SHORT OF A TURNAROUND IN MY DREAMS. NOW GREENWOOD WILL RETURN TO THE FIELD FOR THE FIRST TIME IN TWO WEEKS AFTER LOCKING UP A FIRST ROUND BYE, WHILE HILLCREST HAD TO BEAT NATION FORD IN ORDER TO GET TO THIS POINT. NOW, COMING UP IN JUST A FEW MINUTES, WE’LL HEAR FROM GREENWOOD’S HEAD COACH, CHRIS LINER, AHEAD OF THIS BIG GAME AS HE HOPES TO LEAD HIS EAGLES TEAM BACK TO THE UPPER STATE SEMIS. UNTIL THEN, REPORTING LIVE IN
