‘Definitivamente se irán’: Aakash Chopra cree que el CSK elegirá a KL Rahul como sucesor de MS Dhoni

La mega subasta IPL 2025 se llevará a cabo en Jeddah del 24 al 25 de noviembre.

Chennai Super Kings are on the hunt to find the next keeper-batter who will replace the great MS Dhoni. And as per former India cricketer Aakash Chopra, KL Rahul would be the best option. Chopra argued that since everyone has written off KL Rahul, it is a perfect setup for CSK to cash in on the player and help him revive his career.

Chennai Super Kings have time and again given a chance to senior players to revive their careers. And that would work brilliantly in that hands for KL Rahul. Aakash Chopra believes that CSK can get KL Rahul without sending an audacious amount to buy the player in the IPL 2025 Mega Auction.

Will KL Rahul be the successor for MS Dhoni?

“What all do they need? I feel they need a successor to Dhoni, a wicketkeeper-batter and it’s great if they get an Indian. Everyone is saying, let me also say – he is more than 30 years old, is going to be a father very soon and everyone has written him off as well, so he is right for Chennai, that’s KL Rahul. So they will definitely go for KL Rahul,” Aakash Chopra said on his YouTube channel.

Chopra claimed that getting an Indian keeper would be the best for Chennai Super Kings. On the other hand, Rishabh Pant is heavily tipped to join CSK but this can prove to be not the case. CSK currently has just 55 crores left in their purse.

If reports are to be believed then Rishabh Pant is expected to reach 25-30 crores as teams would be willing to spill their case for the superstar. On the other hand, CSK can play it cleverly if they get KL Rahul for a cut-down price. On the other hand, Aakash Chopra further claimed if either Pant or Ishan Kishan is available for a price of 10-15 crores, then CSK should definitely go for them.

“We can’t say for how long they will go but they will try to acquire him because the franchise still has ₹55 crore to be spent. So if they can get an Indian like him, Ishan Kishan or Rishabh Pant for ₹10-15 crore, they are going to try. They might think about Shreyas Iyer for some time because they will need Indian batters to bat in those conditions,” Chopra concluded.
