Ishan Kishan anotó 36 carreras en dos entradas en el partido de cuatro días entre India A y Australia A.
Indian keepers have a knack for chirping behind the stumps. While Rishabh Pant is known for his quirky one-liners, it was Ishan Kishan this time who was unintentionally hilarious while keeping during the ongoing India A vs Australia A four-day clash.
“Manav aata hai kya?” Ishan Kishan with hilarious stump mic antics
Courtesy of Sai Sudharsan’s brilliant hundred and Devdutt Padikkal’s 88, India A handed a target of 225 runs to the hosts at the Great Barrier Read Arena. In their chase, Australian opener Marcus Harris was looking set. To make matters interesting, Ishan Kishan suggested a ploy to left-arm spinner Manav Suthar. While Haris was leaving his crease to tackle the spin, Kishan kept asking Suthar to bowl a straighter one or an arm ball to outfox the southpaw.
“Bhai Kasam se seedha wala phek de. Edge kha jayega. Agar aata hai toh seedha wala phek de edge kha jayega ye (Marcus Harris).,” said Ishan Kishan before Suthar delivered a bowl. However, Harris used his feet and guided the ball to the mid-wicket fielder after which Kishan said, “Yaar seedha wala phek deta. Manav aata hai kya seedha daalna?”
This was a funny incident that was caught on the stump mic. What’s more interesting is the fact that both Suthar and Kishan combined to send Harris back.
