In the match he scored 105 from 150 deliveries, to audition well for the IPL 2025. In his innings he struck four sixes and eight fours. Surprisingly, given his all-round abilities, Wiaan Mulder has never been a part of the IPL, or any franchise.

Just to talk about his overall record, in 118 T20s, he has scored 2027 runs at a strike rate of 136 and scored 12 fifties. Further, he has picked 66 wickets, at an economy of 8.18, that ticks all the boxes.

Those are the numbers that would tempt someone like KKR to bid for him in the auction, who are reportedly not retaining Andre Russell. Or even someone like RCB who don’t have a half decent fast-bowling all-rounder in their ranks. Having said that, whatever happens on Friday, will have a lot of bearing on the fact, as to who is bagged in the IPL Auction. But Mulder has made his presence felt for sure.
