India is all set to meet New Zealand in the Champions Trophy clash, but have you ever wondered how cricketers prepare for press conferences? Well, as for KL Rahul, he recently opened up about the small basics he follows in preparation.

In a recently released video by BCCI, KL Rahul was seen heading to a press conference. On his way to the stadium, he was asked several questions, ranging from how he handles the media to his first memory of giving an interview. While speaking about his technique for handling press conferences, he mentioned that he likes to talk to the media experts in the team and discuss how to handle tough questions—what to say and what not to say.

Rahul also shared an interesting incident from a recent tour to Australia, where a journalist unexpectedly asked him which tattoo he was planning to get this time. The question took him by surprise, as he was indeed planning to get one.

India thriving at the moment

Two matches are done, and one is still to go, but India have already secured a spot in the Champions Trophy semifinal. First, they thumped Bangladesh, thanks to Shubman Gill’s century and Mohammed Shami’s five-wicket haul. Then, against Pakistan, it was all about Virat Kohli’s batting, which propelled India into the semis.

Now, the last clash is against New Zealand, which is essentially a dead rubber, but the match will determine which team finishes on top of Group A. It will be interesting to see whether Team India make any changes, as there are chances that Shubman Gill may lead the team while Rohit Sharma opts for rest before the semis.
