Panjab cambió los entrenadores en jefe de Kings y ahora instala con Ricky Pong, revise el cuerpo técnico de PBKS IPL 2025.
Still no trophy in the cabinet, Punjab Kings are desperately looking to make an impact, but it’s fair to say they look more like a sinking ship. They have failed many times to get things in line and mostly failed to make it into the playoffs. However, this time, in preparation for IPL 2025, they’ve made quite a few interesting decisions. Firstly, they retained just two uncapped players before the auctions, and when they entered the auction with a heavy purse, they bought many big names, with Shreyas Iyer being the expensive buy. The team looks solid, and overall, they have a good mix of batters and bowlers.
Also, when it comes to coaching, they made a few changes. The first, of course, is that there is no Trevor Bayliss, who was with the team since 2022. Bayliss coached the team in 42 games, with 18 wins and 24 losses, giving him a win percentage of 42.9% during his stint as PBKS coach. Now, Ricky Ponting is stepping in as the head coach, and we are set to see the team perform under his coaching in the upcoming IPL 2025. So, how does the PBKS coaching staff look? Let’s take a look at the coaching staff of PBKS
PBKS coaching staff for IPL 2025
Role | Coach / Staff |
Head Coach | Ricky Ponting |
Assistant Coach | Brad Haddin |
Bowling Coach | James Hopes |
S&C Coach | Adrian le Roux |
Spin Bowling Coach | Sunil Joshi |
Physio | Andrew Leipus |
As mentioned before, it was Trevor Bayliss who was the coach, succeeding Anil Kumble, and did decently well but not quite up to the mark that would clinch the trophy for them. Now, all eyes are on Punjab Kings’ new coaching staff and how they will do justice with their roles. As written, PBKS has been down and out and didn’t end up well, but with the new changes coming, we can expect them to get back on track.
