“Abhishek Sharma, sin competencia tóxica entre Yashasvi Jaswal y yo” – Sin burla de Gill

Los tres tienen 25 o inferiores, pero formatos branquiales, y la ventaja de ello.

The competition to get into India’s cricket team has never been more intense. For every player that comes in, a couple are waiting for their chances. Right now, three opening batters are fighting for spots: Abhishek Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Shubman Gill. Just a couple of days ago, Abhishek scored a record-breaking 135 against England, Jaiswal showed his Test prowess in Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, and Gill is the Indian vice-captain in both white-ball formats (ODI and T20I).

Abhishek Sharma vs. Jaiswal vs. Gill for Team India

Jaiswal clears the two in Test cricket, Gill outshines them in ODIs, and Abhishek remains in his own category in T20Is. But they can contend for each other’s spots in each format, and as mentioned above, the competition is intense. But how do they view each other? Are they looking to one-up each other, or is there healthy competition?

Gill, who is currently preparing for the India vs. England 1st ODI at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, says they have a competition, but it’s not toxic. The 25-year-old says that he’s good friends with Abhishek, who’s his Punjab teammate and someone who he’s played with since childhood. Jaiswal is a little bit younger, but Gill has a great relationship with him as well, as they play Tests and ODIs together.

The Indian vice-captain claims that neither of them enjoys each other’s failure but cherishes their success instead. They can take each other’s spots, but they all play for Team India, and victory means more than your place in the side.

“Abhishek Sharma is my childhood friend; Jaiswal is also my good friend. I don’t think there’s any toxic competition between us. You don’t really think, ‘Oh, I wish this guy doesn’t perform or I wish he doesn’t perform.’ You are playing for the country and for the team, so whoever does well, you feel good for them, and you congratulate them,” Gill told reporters in Nagpur.
