Suryakumar Yadav is India’s best batter in the T20I format, known for his powerful shots and ability to score runs in all directions. However, SKY has been struggling with poor form in recent matches and is not at his usual best. India would hope for their most reliable batter to regain form. Interestingly, the right-handed batter has been futile in scoring runs since being handed the captaincy.

Compared to his outstanding success prior to becoming the captaincy, this represents a notable drop. He had amassed 2,040 runs at an average of 43.40 in 61 games, including three hundreds and seventeen half-centuries.
