BCCI celebrará los premios Namangan para honrar a los mejores artistas internacionales y locales del año.
Sarfaraz Khan finally made his Test debut on February 15 in Rajkot. After years of toiling hard and scoring bucketloads of runs, the batter from Mumbai finally got a chance and had a chance to score a hundred on debut, but an unfortunate run-out deprived him of the opportunity.
Sarfaraz Khan to get BCCI Award for ‘Best International Debut’
Considering his first-class record, Sarfaraz has an underwhelming record. But for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), he’s done enough to bag the ‘Best International Debut’ award. Tomorrow, BCCI will host the 2025 Naman Awards in Mumbai, and according to PTI, the right-handed batter will be felicitated.
Nitish Kumar Reddy or Abhishek Sharma, better performers?
However, considering his performers and others like Nitish Kumar Reddy or Abhishek Sharma, the decision seems a bit odd. Sarfaraz did score a hundred (150) against New Zealand in Bengaluru, but overall his average is just 37.10 in Test cricket. In comparison, Nitish Reddy has an away hundred in Australia and averages 37.25. All of his 298 runs came in Australia, and he’s also got 5 wickets.
Meanwhile, Abhishek Sharma has made a name for himself in T20Is. The southpaw averages 26.50, but his strike rate is a sky-high 182.75. He scored a 46-ball hundred in just his second match, and unlike Sarfaraz, he has become a mainstay in the Indian team.
