The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently inaugurated its state-of-the-art National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. Relocated from the M Chinnaswamy Stadium after two decades, the new 40-acre facility boasts three world-class grounds and 86 pitches, offering comprehensive indoor and outdoor training for aspiring cricketers.
The NCA boasts an impressive 45 outdoor net pitches, organized into nine clusters to replicate diverse playing conditions. These include Mumbai red soil, Mandya soil, Kalahandi black cotton soil, and concrete pitches, all separated by UK-sourced safety nets. Complementing the nets are a dedicated fielding practice area and six outdoor running tracks featuring both natural grass and Mondo synthetic surfaces.
