Vinod Kambli, who was admitted to the Akruti Hospital near Bhiwandi town on Saturday (December 21), has developed a fever during his treatment. Kambli was admitted to treat a urinary tract infection, and four days into his stay at the private hospital, he remains in a stable condition. It has also been revealed that Kambli has blood clots in his brain after MRI procedures.

Currently, in the intensive care unit (ICU), Kambli is likely to be shifted out within a day or two and discharged from the hospital after about four days. His doctor, Vivek Trivedi, told PTI that Kambli’s condition was critical on the night of Saturday, but since his treatment, his health has improved significantly.
“His condition will be closely monitored for the next 24 hours, and a decision will be taken on shifting him out of the ICU,” Dr. Vivek Trivedi told PTI.

During his tough time, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister (CM) Eknath Shinde and his son Shrikant Shinde, Lok Sabha MP, have announced they’ll financially aid the former India cricket. Kambli will be granted an aid of Rs 5 lakh for his ongoing treatment and will be looked after in the future as well. The father-son will also visit Kambli in the hospital before he is discharged.
