India’s two-time Olympic medallist and former World Badminton Champion PV Sindhu got married in Udaipur on December 22. This joyful event came shortly after her win at the Syed Modi International in Lucknow, where she ended her long title drought. Sindhu tied the knot with Venkata Datta Sai, an executive director from Hyderabad-based Posidex Technologies. After the wedding, BJP leader Gajendra Singh Shekhawat expressed his happiness on social media platform X, sending heartfelt wishes and blessings to the couple. Who is Venkata Datta Sai?
Venkata Datta Sai, Sindhu’s husband, is a reputed executive director at Posidex Technologies, based in Hyderabad. With expertise in asset management, data science, and finance, he has carved a niche in his professional field. Datta Sai has a strong educational foundation. He holds a Diploma in Liberal Arts and Sciences from the Foundation of Liberal and Management Education. He completed his BBA in Accounting and Finance from Flame University in 2018. To enhance his knowledge further, he pursued a Master’s in Data Science and Machine Learning from IIIT Bangalore.
Professional journey and IPL experience
Starting his career as an in-house consultant and summer intern at JSW, Datta Sai gained valuable experience. Notably, he played a key role with the IPL franchise Delhi Capitals during his tenure at JSW. Reflecting on this, he shared on LinkedIn that managing a cricket team gave him insights beyond his formal education.
Leadership at posidex technologies
In 2019, Datta Sai took on dual leadership roles as Executive Director of Posidex Technologies and Managing Director of Sour Apple Asset Management. At Posidex, he focuses on innovative approaches to banking and oversees crucial areas such as marketing, HR, and global partnerships.
PV Sindhu’s legacy in badminton
PV Sindhu is celebrated as one of India’s greatest athletes, with five world championship medals, including gold in 2019. Alongside her Olympic silver and bronze, she has inspired a generation with her achievements.
The wedding festivities continue till December 24 with a grand luncheon in Hyderabad, and Sindhu is expected to resume her badminton career in January.
