Time and again, Dhoni has given match-winning players the opportunity to finish the game. One of the most notable instances was in the 2014 T20 World Cup semi-final vs South Africa, where he allowed Virat Kohli to finish the game.

Now, he did the same once again, this time for Rachin Ravindra, who played a match-winning knock, remained unbeaten till the end, and helped CSK chase down a tricky target of 156. Fans expected Dhoni to finish in style, but he unselfishly took a single, allowing Ravindra to smash a six and seal the victory.
