Chennai Super Kings legend MS Dhoni has broken his silence on his retirement from Indian Premier League (IPL). Ahead of CSK’s IPL 2025 opener against arch-rivals MI, MSD said that the franchise was as such that they would drag him to play the league even if he was on a wheelchair.

MS Dhoni drops mixed hint on IPL retirement

I can play for as long as I want for CSK – That is my franchise. Even if I am in a wheelchair, they will drag me,” Dhoni said on JioHotstar.

¿Qué dice Kaikwad en la jubilación de MSD?

For Dhoni, age is just a number. At 43 years of age, he is all set to take part in IPL 2025 for the first time as an “uncapped player.” With each passing edition of the tournament since 2019, speculations of the former Indian captain calling it a day in the only format he is active in has garnered momentum. But time and again, Dhoni has returned to action, showing that he has no plans to quit yet. It might be the same this time around as well.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of CSK vs MI, captain Ruturaj Gaikwad came up with a unique analogy to explain MSD’s future in IPL.

If you see now even Sachin Tendulkar is batting as great as he is right even now at the age of 50 [51]. Así que creo que voy por muchos años“Dijo Gasque.
