Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, as Gigantamax Snorlax makes its Pokémon GO debut in six-star Max Battles. If you’re lucky, you might even encounter a Shiny Gigantamax Snorlax! Note that Gigantamax Pokémon cannot be transferred to Pokémon HOME. Check out the detailed information below:

Pokémon GO Max Battle Day: Event Bonuses

• Max Particle collection limit is increased to 1,600 during the event.  
• All Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles.  
• Power Spots will refresh more frequently.
• You’ll receive 8× Max Particles from Power Spots.  
• Enjoy two additional Special Trades.

From 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time on April 19th, enjoy:

• 2× Max Particles from exploring.
• 1/4 adventuring distance to receive Max Particles.
• These bonuses require trainers to have collected all available Max Particles from the nearby menu.

Timed Research:

Prepare for the battle with Timed Research from April 16th at 6:00 p.m. to April 19th at 5:00 p.m. local time. Complete it to encounter Dynamax Machop and other powerful Pokémon, along with Candy and Max Particles. Remember, Timed Research expires, so complete it before the deadline.

For US$5.00 (or equivalent), access exclusive Timed Research with rewards like 1 Max Mushroom and 25,000 XP. You’ll also get 2× XP from Max Battles and a Max Particle collection limit of 5,600. Max Mushrooms: Boost your Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon’s damage in Max Battles with Max Mushrooms. Use multiple mushrooms for longer effects, but the damage multiplier won’t increase.

Campfire: Use Campfire to find Max Battles and other Trainers. Check nearby Max Battle and Flare activity within Pokémon GO, and find meetups on the Campfire Map.
