¿Tiene una mochila y un día de fondo con las Copas de Campeones en la esquina y las finales? Revisar.
Two Champions Trophy group matches, Pakistan vs Bangladesh and Australia vs South Africa, were abandoned due to rain. With only a few group-stage games left, the focus now shifts to the crucial knockout matches, starting with the semi-finals and then the final.
One semi-final will be held in Dubai, where rain has not disrupted any matches, but the second semi-final is scheduled in Lahore, where rain remains a concern. Although it was the Rawalpindi matches that were affected by rain, fans are now eager to know the what-if scenario: What happens if rain disrupts the semi-finals or the final?
For group matches, the rule states that if a match is washed out, both teams receive one point each, and there is no reserve day. This means every effort will be made to complete the game on the scheduled day, with a minimum of 20 overs required for a result. However, when it comes to knockout matches, there is a big change regarding the reserve day.
Is there a reserve day for the Champions Trophy 2025 semifinals?
Now, for both semi-finals and the final, a reserve day is in place, meaning the match can be played the next day if required.
For example, Semi-final 1 is scheduled for 4th March in Dubai, and if rain interrupts play, 5th March will serve as the reserve day. Similarly, Semi-final 2, set for 5th March, will have 6th March as its reserve day in case of any disruptions.
As for the big Champions Trophy final on 9th March, 10th March will act as the reserve day if needed.
