El MS Dhoni está listo para llevar a cabo la historia en 2025, porque ha logrado un paso importante para los Kennai Smat Kings (CSM).
IPL 2025: MS Dhoni is set to return to the field on March 23, as the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) commence their IPL 2025 campaign with a home game against the Mumbai Indians. CSK retained Dhoni in the uncapped category for Rs 4 crore. The legendary Indian cricketer has already joined the Yellow Army’s camp and begun preparations for the 18th edition of the T20 league.
MS Dhoni’s last IPL?
With speculations of MS Dhoni playing his last IPL going around, MS Dhoni is poised to make history in IPL 2025, as he stands on the verge of achieving a significant milestone for Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Currently, with 4669 runs, Dhoni is CSK’s second-highest run-scorer and is just 19 runs away from becoming their top-scorer.
Suresh Raina, who sits at the top spot with 4687 runs, was once IPL’s highest run-scorer. Raina averaged 32.32 for his 4687 runs with CSK, a tally that includes 1 century and 33 half-centuries. Dhoni’s upcoming performances could see him surpass Raina and claim the top position in the elite list.
Faf du Plessis acquires the third spot. He scored 2721 runs for CSK in IPL. He joined Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL 2022 mega-auction. Delhi Capitals bought him in the IPL 2025 mega-auction.
Dhoni can break Raina’s record in CSK’s very first match. He comes down late in the batting order and faces very few balls now. Dhoni will continue to play under Ruturaj’s leadership.
The prospect of seeing Dhoni play for CSK once again, possibly for the last time, is sure to draw massive crowds and viewership as fans rally behind their beloved “Thala.”
