Specifically after the fourth BGT Test in Melbourne, where India lost by a massive margin of 164 runs, Gambhir and Agarkar wanted Kohli to speak about his “existence” in the team. It was quite fascinating for Kohli, who was also offered a captaincy role by Gambhir just before the chief selector wanted to know about Kohli’s plans.
