El 19 de febrero, el equipo de Muhammad Rizwan ganará a los primeros campeones el 19 de febrero y donde ingresaron a 241 personas. Si eres Pakistán, se volverán difíciles […]
Mohammad Rizwan’s team is in a spot of bother as they lost their first Champions Trophy match against New Zealand on Feb 19, and their chances look bleak in the India vs Pakistan match as well, where they were bundled out for 241. The road to semis for Pakistan will only get tougher if they go on to lose their match on Sunday, but having said that, there will still be a chance.
Pakistan Beat Bangladesh, NZ Lose vs BAN, India win vs Kiwis
If this happens, then India make it safely to the Champions Trophy semis, but Bangladesh, Pakistan and New Zealand end up on two points each. That means, the arch-rivals will have to have a better run-rate to go through to the next round. Improbable, but still possible.
No Other Way Out for Hosts Pakistan
If Pakistan lose another match, apart from the one against India, if at all, they are out of the tournament. No matter what, they need at least a win on the board to go through. New Zealand, the other top team in the group; Pakistan would be in a strong position if the former lose their remaining matches in the tournament.
So, mathematically, they’re still in the competition, but then their chances of sailing through a minimal. Now, another setback for Babar Azam’s team would be — the Pakistan vs Bangladesh in Rawalpindi on Feb 27 has a very high chance of rain — if that match is not completed, then the hosts will be certainly out. As per AccuWeather, there is a 70% chance of precipitation on the day.
