With Zaman being ruled out, Pakistan have lost their specialist opener and now have to depend on Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam to fire at the top of the order.

In a video released by the ICC, a gutted Zaman can be seen being consoled by his teammate Shaheen Afridi in the dressing room in Karachi.

“Fakhar Zaman’s injury is of a serious nature. He will not be able to play the remainder of the tournament,” the PCB said in a statement on Thursday.
