T. La caída elogió los campos en la serie de la India de la India. Conoce al ganador.
The recent ODI series against England was a masterclass in fielding by the Indian cricket team, leaving fans and cricket pundits impressed. India’s fielding coach, T Dilip, expressed his satisfaction with how the team looked around the field, diving and taking spectacular catches to restrict England’s scoring opportunities. India not only clinched a 4-1 victory in the Twenty20 Internationals but also achieved a clean sweep in the three-match ODI series. As Indian team always do, T. Dilip was named the best fielder of the series after the IND vs ENG 3rd ODI.
Fielding has always been a matter of pride for the Indian team. T Dilip, who has been at the helm as a fielding coach from Rahul Dravid’s tenure and continues under Gautam Gambhir, appreciated the team’s composure and consistency. “We as a team take a lot of pride in fielding and to see us execute with composure and consistency throughout this series was incredibly satisfying,” he commented.
Shreyas Iyer wins the best fielder medal
The series saw excellent performances from players like vice-captain Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, and Harshit Rana. According to Dilip, picking the best fielder of the series was no easy task. “Coming to the contenders, it was slightly tougher for me. To start with, someone being a fast bowler showing that commitment in the field and throughout these three games, I think he (Harshit Rana) saved around 10-plus runs.” Shubman Gill was commended for his crucial catches, adding value to India’s stronghold over the games. Ultimately, Shreyas Iyer stole the spotlight, earning the ‘Impact Fielder’ of the series medal for his dual prowess in batting and fielding.

Turning points in India vs England
One of the most memorable highlights was in the first ODI in Nagpur, where Shreyas Iyer executed a stunning run-out of England’s opener Phil Salt, a move that shifted the match’s momentum. Dilip said, “It’s not just about the catches we always look in, but the amount of effort you put on the boundary line by saving those crucial runs and getting those run-outs… cutting those angles on the field, and getting that important run-out in the first game when England were blazing at 75 for no loss.”
