BCCI afraid of dropping Virat Kohli & Rohit Sharma?

Shikhar Dhawan, their former teammate, has revealed why the BCCI can’t drop them. He says that the selectors are afraid of the backlash they’ll receive from the public and that’s why Kohli and Rohit won’t go from the team.

“They (selectors) cannot remove them (seniors like Rohit, Virat); if they do, there will be a storm. In our country, because the public looks at cricket with so many emotions, it’s a religion, so their emotions are series to series, up and down. One series is good, so many people are happy. If they lose, even a loss of one series, then their sorrow goes to that level,” Dhawan said in an interview with ANI.

You need senior batters, says Dhawan

Mr. ICC went on about how although people want them dropped, the kind of experience that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma bring in is extremely useless, especially in ICC tournaments like the one coming up, the Champions Trophy.
