India’s ex-cricketer Yograj Singh, Yuvraj Sigh’s father, came in to support India’s captains Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Yograj went full of praise for Rohit after he scored a century in the IND vs ENG 2nd ODI in Cuttack after a series of bad form in a couple of Test series and the Ranji Trophy. Yograj believes that now it’s Virat Kohli’s time to prove the critics wrong. On his youtube channel he uploaded a video talking about them.

Yograj Singh on Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma

Yograj believes that people shouldn’t ignore world-class players and opposes dropping both players. “Regarding the players currently playing international cricket for India, I believe it’s now time for Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to score some runs and they will definitely show their class. he said. Rohit ne run bana diye, ab kohli bhi banayega (Rohit has scored runs now Kohli will also play a big innings) he added.

Rohit and Kohli are world-class players. I don’t believe, and have never believed, that Rohit and Virat should be dropped just because they’re going through a tough time or bad form.” he stated.

Yograj Singh asks for support from fans

Yograj Singh urges all the Indian cricket fans to support Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli when they go out of form. “Such phases happen to world-class players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. We all know this, and people should support them instead of criticizing them. Just like Yuvraj Singh once said, ‘They are like family to me,’ and for me, they are like my family as well. I treat them like my kids and am always concerned that they should be performing well.” he added.

Yograj supports domestic cricket for international players

Just like earlier, Yograj again supports the idea of International cricketers playing domestic cricket regularly. “It’s important to play domestic cricket to maintain touch. Sometimes we take breaks, but that breaks the consistency. It also lets you see the young talent so that you can promote them. Give and take whatever cricket gives you; give back to cricket.” he concluded.
