After the match, Indian team members reacted humorously to Jaiswal’s catch. Axar Patel reacting to the catch, jokingly said, “If he had run faster like me, he could have grabbed this catch with both hands, though it was still a really good effort and a very nice catch.”

He further reacted again, but not in a humorous way. “I was standing near Jaiswal, so I saw the whole catch. When he was running, I thought he wouldn’t be able to take it, but when he stretched his body, made an angle, and dived, it was really nice to see. It was a fantastic catch.” While the cricketers were reacting, Jaiswal stood silently, beaming with pride. Axar Patel added, “Why are you shy standing there? It’s a catch you have taken; there’s nothing wrong. Well done, nice catch.”

Reaction from fielding coach T. Dilip

India’s fielding coach T. Dilip said, “I was sitting and watching the ball, and then I realized the ball was drifting away, but Jaiswal kept running. In my mind, I thought, just catch it, Jaiswal, we need this wicket. I knew his hands were reliable with catches, so if he could run, he could catch it.” The bowler, Harshit Rana, also expressed his confidence, saying, “I knew he would catch it. In the past years, he has taken similar catches.”
