The stage is now set for the IND vs ENG ODI series. The India Cricket Team recently clinched a stunning 4-1 win in the T20I series. Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir has urged his side to continue the aggressive and high-risk brand of cricket. Gambhir is also happy that star players, i.e. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be joining the side.

The T20I series is now past as the focus shifts entirely to the ICC Champions Trophy. And ahead of the mega ICC event, the 3-match ODI series against the Three Lions will be perfect for Team India to iron out any creases in the team.

Gautam Gambhir advocates playing aggressive cricket

“Just try and play as aggressively as we can. I think that we want to entertain the crowd. We want to entertain, we want to play that high risk cricket,” Gambhir told the broadcasters after the match.

After India’s win at Mumbai, Gmabhir claimed that the aim for the team remains the same. He wants to entertain the crowd by playing aggressive cricket. The main object remains to play positive cricket. He also added that the addition of two quality players – Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will greatly help the team.

“We are now getting two quality players (Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma) back in who’ve got a phenomenal record in one-day cricket. Hopefully they can come in and deliver and probably try and be as aggressive and positive as they can,” Gambhir concluded.
