After losses to New Zealand and Australia in the Border Gavaskar Trophy, the India Cricket Team clinched a stunning 4-1 win in the IND vs ENG T20I series. India head coach Gautam Gambhir shrugged off the dressing room rumors. He claimed that a lot of things are often said after the team loses a series.
Gautam Gambhir emphasized how things start falling into the correct place once the results start going in your favor. Reports of dressing room troubles started to leak as India was handed a humiliating 3-1 loss in the Border Gavaskar Trophy. The loss ensured India failed to make it to the WTC Finals.
Things fall into place when results are right
“They have played a lot of cricket with each other. More importantly, a month back, there were a couple of other rumours flying around (laughs). That’s what Indian cricket is all about. There will be so many things said about the dressing room when things are not going okay. But once results start going in your favour, things start falling in place,” Gautam Gambhir said.
Gautam Gambhir was happy after his side secured a comprehensive series win against the Three Lions. He said that last month there were huge reports of dressing room rumors. He claimed how things are hard when the team loses a series. But things start falling into place when the results are right. He even praised his players claiming they play for the country and represent 140 crore Indians.
“These are an incredible bunch of players. They enjoy themselves, they want to play for their country, they love playing for their country, and they know what it means to represent 140 crore Indians,” Gambhir concluded.
