Sairaj Bahutule’s coaching resume

Bahutule is one of the most tried and tested coaches in India. In domestic cricket, he worked with Kerala in 2014 and Bengal in 2015 and was part of the Rajasthan Royals setup, having joined the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise as their spin bowling coach in 2018.

He’s also been part of the India cricket team’s support staff on multiple occasions in the past couple of years.

He’s gone to Ireland and New Zealand, was part of the 2023 Border-Gavaskar Trophy as the spin bowling consultant, and last year travelled with the team to Zimbabwe for 5 T20I series and then Sri Lanka as the interim bowling coach before Morne Morkel officially joined as the assistant coach.

Bahutule parts ways with BCCI

“I am thankful to former BCCI secretary Jay Shah, BCCI, Rahul Dravid (previous head of COE) and VVS (Laxman, current head of COE) for giving me the opportunity to work with India’s top spinners across formats. I was with the India, India A and India Under-19 teams in at least in 20 series/tours. I thoroughly enjoyed my three-year tenure at the NCA/COE, and my services as a bowling coach will forever be available for the BCCI,” Bahutule added.
