La ICC ha dictaminado que todos los equipos deben mostrar el logotipo oficial del torneo y el nombre de la nación anfitriona en sus camisetas, negando informes de un plan de prohibición por parte del BCCI.
Team India will have “Pakistan” written on their ICC Champions Trophy jersey! Apparently, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has clarified that they will duly agree to the International Cricket Council (ICC) guidelines. As we all know, Pakistan are the official hosts for the upcoming mega event, but they have to share the hosting rights with Dubai, a city that will host all the matches for India after the Indian Government’s disapproval to visit Pakistan. Due to this, there were questions if India would sport the jersey that will have “Pakistan” imprinted on it. But the dust has been settled now.
BCCI agrees to ICC’s rules for ICC Champions Trophy jersey
The International Cricket Council (ICC) dismissed recent claims that India’s cricket board (BCCI) plans to remove Pakistan’s name from their jersey for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. An ICC official clarified that all teams must display the tournament’s official logo on their kits, including the name of the host country. “Every team has to put the tournament logo on their jerseys. It is a rule everyone must follow,” the ICC stated to Pakistani media.
Now, Cricbuzz has confirmed with the new BCCI secretary, Devajit Saikia, who has stated that India “will follow the ICC directive.” “We will follow whatever are the ICC guidelines,” BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia said.
