Hasta ahora, Harshit Rana ha hecho su debut con el equipo de cricket de la India en Tests.
Won’t it be the perfect setting for young Harshit Rana if he makes his India Cricket Team debut in T20Is in the IND vs ENG 1st T20I? The stage couldn’t have been better, the ground couldn’t have been more iconic! The Kolkata Knight Riders pacer, getting his T20I debut at the fabled Eden Garden, under Gautam Gambhir – is what a perfect fairytale is.
Harshit Rana burst into the national team setup after his impressive bowling spell in IPL 2024. The young pacer also went on to lift the Indian Premier League title under Shreyas Iyer’s captain last season, beating Sunrisers Hyderabad in the finals. And that fast-tracked his way into the team.
He got his national team call-up soon but had to wait for his debut. His debut eventually came for the country in Tests in the Border Gavaskar Trophy in Down Under. So far he has represented his country twice in the longest format of the game. Up next, the speedster is ready to make his debut in the shortest format of the game.
What would be a better backdrop than to do it at the Eden Gardens? The India Cricket Team will take on the Three Lions in a 5-match T20I series. The series kickstarts in the City of Joy. And as has been the training camp for the past 2 days, it has shown promising signs of Harshit likely getting the debut.
The young pacer has been one of the most hardworking players in the team. He has worked relentlessly in training on both Sunday and Monday, huffing and puffing at the nets. He has accompanied Shami and Arshdeep to consistently bowl at a steady pace at the Indian batters.
