India, que logró todo en el cricket T20I el año pasado, eche un vistazo a cómo les ha ido en sus últimas salidas en 2024, particularmente con el bate cuando batea primero.
The year 2024 has been all about big improvements for India in T20I cricket, which led them to clinch the title in the T20 World Cup after an 11-year heartbreak in ICC tournaments. After the tournament, the Men in Blue have only continued to rise, and now 2025 is set to bring exciting T20 games. India is first set to meet England for a five-match series, with Suryakumar Yadav all set to lead the Indian team.
Speaking about 2024, after the T20 World Cup, India played four bilateral series, first against Zimbabwe, then Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and South Africa. Not surprisingly, they won all four. In 2024, India won 24 of the 26 completed T20Is they played. What stood out was India’s dominance with the bat, which led them to success. Before 2024, India often played the shorter format with a more conservative approach, usually aiming for a run-a-ball or trying to accelerate in the last few overs. While this sometimes helped and sometimes not as it also limited their score to 170 or 180, which in today’s fast-paced cricket isn’t very much.
However, after the T20 World Cup 2024, Indian team scored 200+ runs in seven of their last 11 T20I games. As of now, India is sitting at the top of the list among teams who have scored 200+ in T20Is, with a total of 41 such scores. Their most recent came in November 2024, against South Africa, when they posted a massive 283/1. Take a look at all 7 of India’s 200+ scores after the T20 World Cup in their last 11 games.

From hitting a four or six every 4.68 balls to surpassing scores of more than 250, the Indian team achieved everything in the T20I format last year. The year also witnessed seven individual centuries in total in 2024: three by Sanju Samson, two by Tilak Varma, one by youngster Abhishek Sharma, and the list also includes former T20I captain Rohit Sharma, who scored 121 runs against Afghanistan early in 2024.
