It’s all over for Vidarbha, as despite performing so well in the recently held Vijay Hazare Trophy league games, they failed to cross the final line and lost to Karnataka by 36 runs. Karun Nair and his team came to chase a target of 348 runs. They surely got off to a good start, but wickets in the middle overs thumped them the game. Captain Nair, who was in lethal form, scoring more than 700 runs, got out this time after making just 27 runs, thanks to Prasidh Krishna. Although Harsh Dubey fought till the end, but he couldn’t take the game deep enough. This is Karnataka’s fifth Vijay Hazare Trophy win, while Vidarbha failed to secure their first.
