Prithvi Shaw está trabajando duro con la esperanza de regresar al equipo de Mumbai para el Trofeo Ranji.

Prithvi Shaw no fue incluido en el equipo de Mumbai para el Trofeo Vijay Hazare.

In the hopes of returning to Mumbai’s squad, Prithvi Shaw is working hard. The opener has been working on his fitness ever since the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) didn’t select him for the Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT) 2024-25 despite him playing an essential knock in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) final against Madhya Pradesh.

For the unaware, MCA had also dropped him midway through the first leg of the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 due to fitness and discipline reasons. He was called back and then played the full SMAT 2024-25. But when Prithvi Shaw was dropped from Mumbai’s squad for the VHT, he didn’t take it well.

He took to social media to criticise the decision. This didn’t do so well with the MCA. As it turns out, neither Ranji Trophy captain Ajinkya Rahane nor SMAT and VHT captain Shreyas Iyer were happy with Prithvi Shaw’s attitude. MCA replied, claiming that Shaw was out partying until 6 AM during SMAT and wasn’t following the fitness regime given to him.

The talented opener retorted again via a social media post. Things seemed to have smoothed out since. He featured in the Police Shield tournament and seems to be working hard on his fitness during the break he’s gotten before the Ranji Trophy restarts on January 23. Now, it’s to be seen if Mumbai picks him or if his exile continues.
