In this period, Rahul has played 6 Tests in the middle-order, from No. 4 to No. 6, and his numbers are good either. He has scored 339 runs only at an average of 37, including one ton and two fifties.

Only Pant has been a little decent. In 12 such matches, he has scored 816 runs at an average of 40. Just one ton has come his way there. On the other hand, Karun Nair till now in this current Ranji Trophy season has 289 runs in 4 matches, at an average of 48, apart from his VHT exploits.
