As per reports from Dainik Jagran, Kuldeep Yadav is now recovering well at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). He has not been selected for the IND vs ENG T20I series. But the report states that he should be fit by the end of this month. And this means, he might be in consideration for the IND vs ENG ODI series.

Will Kuldeep Yadav be fit for ICC Champions Trophy?

Kuldeep Yadav last played an international game in the IND vs NZ 1st Test. Following this he suffered a groin injury. And then as per reports, he traveled to Germany to undergo surgery. And now he has resumed bowling in nets. But the job is far from being done.

With time running out, he now faces a race against time to be fit for the mega tournament. In the meantime, Kuldeep will likely get his practice matches in the 3-match ODI series against England.

Furthermore, it is imperative that Kuldeep gets selected for the major tournament. He is India’s only specialist spinner and has always performed well in ICC events. He scalped 15 wickets in 11 games in the ODI World Cup 2023 and 10 wickets in 5 games from the T20 World Cup.

With India playing all their matches at the Dubai International Stadium, the team will be heavily reliant on Kuldeep’s bowling prowess. His ability to turn the ball on slow and dusty pitches makes him one of the deadliest spinners in those conditions.
