Harbhajan Singh has hit back at a troll on Twitter and has stood by Rohit Sharma after the Indian captain dropped himself out from the fifth Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) Test in Sydney. A user on social media was posting a series of tweets against Rohit Sharma, blaming him for leaking dressing room secrets. Quoting him, Harbhajan lashed out and instead warned him by saying he has been paid by someone to spread misinformation against Rohit.

Rohit vs Kohli? What did Harbhajan Singh say?

A few days back, several reports came out, suggesting leaks and cracks in the Indian dressing room. After Team India went from 121/3 to 155 all out at MCG, Gambhir had some stern words with the boys. “Bahut ho gaya (I’ve had enough),” the former opener seems to have told the team, as per a report in the Indian Express. The report further suggested that the coach, though he didn’t name anyone in his address, but slammed the players for playing poorly in the name of “natural game.”

A fan on Twitter suggested that leaks were fake narratives created by none other than Rohit Sharma. Reading this, Harbhajan Singh blamed the user itself and indicated that he may be got paid to tweet. “U seems like getting the information from dressing room . Who is ur source ? Shall I say it ? I know who’s playing this dirty game by paying u guys to tweet about an Honest man,” Bhajji wrote on his Twitter.

Fans suggested that Harbhajan may have indicated none other than Virat Kohli in his tweet. Not one but several users came in and wrote “owned Virat Kohli” under Bhajji’s comment. Well, Harbhajan didn’t specify a name or anyone but he did point out that someone has paid the user to speak against Rohit. The narratives are endless on social media. Some say Rohit has his PR, others take sides with Virat Kohli. But ultimately, both Rohit and Kohli might not take all the allegations seriously. Both have been pillars of Indian cricket since decades and Harbhajan himself is one of the all-time greats.

Rohit Sharma on dressing room controversy

Rohit Sharma had an exclusive chat with StarSports in the lunch break on Day 2 of the SCG Test. The Hitman reflected on the dressing room controversy. He said that the leaks don’t hurt him or the players. The boys should look at the game and learn how to play it. “All the boys here are made of steel. That’s how they are built. We cannot control everything, and there’s no point wasting time or focusing on things outside our control. The boys know this well. Our focus should be on playing our game and figuring out how to win the match.” he said.
