Former India cricket team coach and captain, Rahul Dravid‘s youngest son, Anvay, has earned himself two accolades from the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) at their annual awards. Two weeks ago, Anvay scored his first hundred for Karnataka against Jharkhand’s under-16 side in the Vijay Merchant Trophy 2024-25.

However, Anvay Dravid was awarded for his performance in the last edition of the Vijay Merchant Trophy, where he emerged as Karnataka’s highest scorer with 357 runs at an average of 45 in 5 matches. He also hit four half-centuries, with 78 being his highest score. His other award was earned for ending as the highest run-scorer in the under-14 state league tournament while playing for Vijaya Cricket Club.

Rahul Dravid’s older son, Samit

Samit Dravid was selected to play against Australia’s U-19 side in September. However, he couldn’t do much after suffering an injury that ruled him out. Samit couldn’t play in the U-19 Asia Cup 2024 that followed soon after as he’d crossed the age limit of 19 before the cut-off time. Now, Samit’s focus will somehow make it to Karnataka’s senior side and make his Ranji Trophy, Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, and Vijay Hazare Trophy debut soon.

What’s Rahul Dravid up to

Since leaving as head coach of Team India at the end of June, Rahul Dravid has joined the Rajasthan Royals (RR). The ‘Wall’ played and led the franchise from 2011 to 2013 and then took over as the coach from 2014 to 2015. After his long stint as head coach of India A, head of the National Cricket Academy (NCA), and head coach of Team India, he’s joined RR back as their head coach, starting with the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season.
