En una era de crisis de MCG, la historia de garabatos de este todoterreno indio es 6/31 y espectacular contra las Indias Occidentales.

En el tercer ODI contra las Indias Occidentales en Vadodara, Deepti obtuvo un impresionante 6/31.

While the men’s team may have been enduring a tough time in their Boxing Day Test match tussle against Australia, the women’s side is leaving no stone unturned at home. Amid the MCG debacle, Deepti Sharma delivered a historic performance to lift Indian women’s cricket.

Deepti Sharma with a special performance

In the third ODI against the West Indies in Vadodara, Deepti claimed a stunning 6/31, becoming the first Indian woman to achieve three five-wicket hauls in ODIs, surpassing legends like Ekta Bisht, Neetu David, and Jhulan Goswami.

India pacer Renuka Thakur set the tone with a fiery 4/29, dismantling the West Indies’ top order. Thakur’s early breakthroughs, including the dangerous Hayley Matthews for a duck, put the visitors on the back foot. From there, Deepti took control, weaving her magic with flight and precision to decimate the middle and lower order.

West Indies showed resilience with a 97-run stand between Chinelle Henry (61) and Shemaine Campbelle (46), but Deepti’s persistence ensured their efforts fell short. Apart from Henry and Campbelle, only Aaliyah Alleyne (21) managed double digits as the visitors were bowled out for 162 in 39 overs.
