Sam Constas es el nuevo talento de Australia y muestra valentía y determinación en su debut en la cuarta prueba de IND y AUS.
Australia’s young 19-year-old Sam Konstas made his debut in the 4th Test match between India and Australia on December 26 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, leaving a strong impression in his first international outing. Stepping in as a replacement for one of Australia’s best batters, David Warner, Konstas proved he has the talent and potential to become the next big star for the Aussies.
From hitting a six against the world’s most dangerous bowler, Jasprit Bumrah, to confidently standing up to a star player like Virat Kohli, Konstas showed no signs of nervousness in his debut match and, in fact, dominated the proceedings.
Who is Sam Konstas?
Sam Konstas showcased his talent while representing Australia U19 in the World Cup, contributing significantly to their championship victory. He amassed 191 runs across seven innings at an average of 27.28, which included a remarkable century.
He was later selected for Australia A in their series against India A in October-November. Konstas delivered a match-winning performance with an unbeaten 73 in the second innings of the second unofficial Test.
Additionally, the young opener starred for the Prime Minister’s XI in a pink-ball warm-up match against India at Manuka Oval, smashing a blistering 107 off 97 balls with 14 boundaries and a six.
