Pakistán albergará un importante evento ICC en 2028 como compensación por el Trofeo de Campeones ICC

In the wake of the ongoing tensions surrounding the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that Pakistan will host an ICC event in 2028. The announcement comes as a result of the financial losses incurred by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) after India’s refusal to travel for the Champions Trophy. During a meeting of the PCB Governing Board, chaired by Mohsin Naqvi, it was revealed that the ICC had assured Pakistan compensation in the form of hosting rights for a Women’s tournament in 2028, potentially played in the T20 format.
