Ahead of the inaugural edition of 2023 WPL, Smriti Mandhana was the very first name that went under the hammer in the auction. She bagged a whopping INR 3.4 crore deal with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Ahead of WPL 2025, RCB retained Smriti Mandhana for the same price. Interestingly, Mandhana’s WPL salary of INR 3.4 crore is way highest than Pakistan skipper Babar Azam’s PSL salary.

Based on the current value of Indian rupees vs. US dollars, Babar’s PSL is estimated to be around INR 2.23 crore. As stated above, Babar Azam plays for and captains the Peshawar Zalmi team in the Pakistan Super League. The new edition of the PSL is set to be hosted next year. Noting that Babar Azam’s PSL salary is much more than other players participating in the league, the former PAK skipper will be under the pump to perform well and try to win the title in PSL 2025.
