Naveen-ul-Haq registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the base price of Rs 2 crore. The Afghanistan star played for the Lucknow Super Giants in the last season of the IPL. Naveen ul Haq made his debut in the IPL in 2023 after Lucknow Super Giants bought him for INR 50 lakh in the auction. In his first IPL season, Naveen ul Haq played 8 games and picked up 11 wickets while having an economy rate of less than 8.

In IPL 2024, he played 10 games for the Lucknow-based outfit and claimed 14 wickets. Naveen has ample T20 experience and will be hoping to get another IPL contract.
Apart from the IPL, he has plied his trade in several T20 leagues across the world such as the Caribbean Premier League, Major League Cricket, Pakistan Super League, SA20, T20 Blast, International League T20, Bangladesh Premier League, Big Bash League, and the Lanka Premier League. Overall, the pacer has played 205 T20s and picked up 246 wickets.
