Secondly, the Indian bowlers should only go for shorter bursts of spells, and not the other way around, so that they don’t get tired. From one end it should be a fast bowler, and spinner from the other. And lastly, Australia shouldn’t be allowed to take a massive lead, if you can’t restrict them before your total. Meanwhile, at the start of the day, the Aussie bowlers were excellent and made the Indian batsmen commit mistakes. Yashasvi Jaiswal was LBW to a swinging delivery by Mitchell Starc on the first ball the Test, while Virat Kohli edged one to point, chasing one outside the off stump. Rohit Sharma too failed in the middle-order, in his first innings on this tour. Nitish Reddy top-scored with 42.
