Travis Head sigue siendo una espina clavada en el costado de la India mientras logra un siglo brillante en la prueba Adelaide Pink Ball.
It was all happening in the IND vs AUS Pink Ball Test in Adelaide. Travis Head and Mohammed Siraj were involved in a verbal spat and altercation after the Indian pacer bowled out the ace batter. Siraj in a fit of rage sent off Head which now has been disapproved by Sunil Gavaskar. The Indian legend is now unhappy with Siraj’s antics and claims that the event was unnecessary
The incident took place when Siraj managed to finally get Travis Head’s wicket. Before that, the southpaw had already inflicted his damage on India. He went on to slam a blistering 140-run knock as the hosts took a big lead over the visitors on Day 2. After Australia’s innings, Sunil Gavaskar retorted that Mohammed Siraj should have given Head the send-off.
Gavaskar not happy with Siraj’s Antics
“Absolutely unnecessary. The man is playing on 140, wasn’t playing on 4-5,” said Sunil Gavaskar on Star Sports.
Coming to the game, Travis Head slammed 17 fours and 4 sixes as he registered a blistering 140 run knock from just 141 delvieries. Eventually, with this great knock, Australia could manage to go on and score 337 runs before being bowled out.
Gavaskar was also displeased with the Indian team, citing that the visitors never have any plan for Travis Head. “We’ve always been talking about the fact that Travis Head needs to be tested with the short ball. India never does that. They will occasionally try that. It is just baffling. You’ve heard about it at the World Test Championship final when we eventually started bouncing him, he started to get into a little bit of an uncomfortable situation,” Gavaskar said.
