Kohli no participó en el partido de preparación del balón rosa contra el XI del Primer Ministro en Canberra.
Virat Kohli, like all the members of the Indian cricket team, trained at the Adelaide Oval today (December 3). He did the regular warm-up and fielding drills and batted in the nets to prepare for the India vs Australia 1st Test. However, one thing popped out. Kohli was seen with some strapping on his right knee. He remained in high spirits, but at one point, the medical staff was bandaging his knee.
Injury issue for Virat Kohli before Pink Ball Test?
It’s uncertain whether Kohli’s injured or not. It could very well be that it might just be something as small as a bruise or that he might have felt some discomfort. Of course, this isn’t a great sign. The former Indian captain has an extraordinary record in Adelaide, the venue for the next Test match.

Injury signs
If there are any injury issues, it sort of makes sense. Apart from Rishabh Pant, Virat Kohli was the only player in the main XI who didn’t bat in the India vs Prime Minister’s XI match. The warm-up match for the Pink Ball Test saw the two best batters of the Perth Test, KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal, come out to bat, but Kohli didn’t.
He instead chose to face Jasprit Bumrah in the nets of the Manuka Oval. It seemed like Kohli felt like a million bucks and didn’t feel the need to face the Australian bowlers. But this development could mean that he might be nursing an injury. While it didn’t look serious, he and the management might have thought not to risk it, and therefore, he didn’t take the field in Canberra.
