Aquí hay una lista de las mejores y peores selecciones de la mega subasta de la Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 del día 1.
Day 1 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction concluded with historic bids and renowned players going under the hammer. The marquee players were auctioned on November 24, with Rishabh Pant fetching the highest bid in IPL auction history at Rs. 27 crore. Before him, Shreyas Iyer was sold for Rs. 26.75 crore, making him the second-most expensive player.
All 10 teams collectively spent Rs. 467.95 crore on Day 1 of the auction, with 72 players sold and 132 slots remaining to be filled. While some purchases can be considered among the best picks, others might be seen as questionable choices.
Best Picks in IPL 2025 mega auction
Delhi Capitals played a masterstroke by securing KL Rahul for Rs. 14 crore. They also acquired Harry Brook for Rs. 6.25 crore, which was an excellent deal. CSK used their RTM card to retain Rachin Ravindra for Rs. 4 crore, another smart move. Punjab Kings (PBKS) made one of the best picks, securing Glenn Maxwell for Rs. 4.2 crore.
Player | Team | Price |
KL Rahul | DC | Rs. 14 crore |
Harry Brook | DC | Rs. 6.25 crore |
Rachin Ravindra | CSK | Rs. 4 crore |
Glenn Maxwell | PBKS | Rs. 4.2 crore |
Worst picks in IPL 2025 mega auction
Venkatesh Iyer was bought by KKR for Rs. 23.75 crore, which seemed like a high price for him. Ravichandran Ashwin, despite being a veteran, was acquired by Chennai Super Kings for Rs. 9.75 crore, a bid that felt slightly overpriced. CSK should have considered their already experienced squad and opted for a fresh spin option instead.
Sunrisers Hyderabad, already having a wicketkeeper-batter, made a questionable decision by buying Ishan Kishan for Rs. 11.25 crore. Similarly, Royal Challengers Bangalore needed a wicketkeeper-batter but chose Jitesh Sharma for Rs. 11 crore after passing on KL Rahul for Rs. 14 crore, a move that seemed miscalculated.
Player | Team | Price |
Ishan Kishan | SRH | Rs. 11.25 crore |
R Ashwin | CSK | Rs. 9.75 crore |
Venkatesh Iyer | KKR | Rs. 23.75 crore |
Jitesh Sharma | RCB | Rs. 11 crore |
